Create positive change at Meridian Public Charter School.

I work with a group of people that I consider more like family than co-workers. I consider Meridian Middle School more like home than work. We always have a team approach every day.

Why Meridian?

Our teachers and staff members are the core of what makes Meridian a welcoming, globally-minded community school. Our team knows every student’s face and name, and they provide a nurturing environment for our students to grow, explore, and thrive.

Our collaborative team works diligently so that each student is learning both academic and socio-emotional skills needed for school and life. They make data-driven decisions about student performance and aren’t afraid to try new techniques to raise the bar.

Opportunities for Growth

Meridian Public Charter School offers intensive coaching and professional development for all of our teachers. Each teacher receives frequent and targeted feedback from a coach or school leader biweekly, and every Thursday throughout the school year, students dismiss early so teachers can engage in professional development.

Each campus also budgets to send teachers to external professional development, including local and national conferences to both present and bring back the latest ideas to the school community.

Is Meridian Right for You?

Our ideal candidates also have the following qualifications and core competencies:

  • A relentless belief that all children, regardless of race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, or special education/EL placement, can learn at college preparatory levels;

  • Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited institution. Concentration or advanced degree in education preferred;

  • Meet the appropriate grade level and subject area requirements to be deemed a Highly Qualified Teacher (HQT) under the No Child Left Behind Act;
