Helda is a visionary leader with over 15 years of experience and commitment to educational equity in the DC Region. Her passion for educational equity comes from personal experience; she is an immigrant from Colombia who developed a deep commitment to advancing opportunities for black and brown students through her journey as a Teach For America corps member, school principal, school leadership coach, and Chief Impact Officer. In these roles, Helda has led the learning and development of educators and organizations by setting vision and direction, cultivating relationships and partnerships, and pursuing ambitious goals. She lives in Silver Spring with her husband and three children and serves as Director of Partner Engagement and Development for Latin America at Teach For All.
