How to Enroll

Meridian Public Charter School welcomes families from across Washington, D.C. We participate in the DC common lottery through MySchoolDC, and our enrollment team is here to support you through every step of the process.

Visit Us

The best way to get to know Meridian is to see it for yourself. We welcome prospective students, parents, and community members to visit our campuses through Open Houses and PreK tours. These are opportunities to meet school staff and leadership, explore our facilities, and ask questions about the lottery and enrollment process.

Summer Open House Tours

To attend an Open House, contact our Enrollment Team at [email protected] or call (202) 387-9830.

How to Enroll: 2026–2027

Only DC residents may enroll and receive a tuition-free education in the District of Columbia. Enrollment must be completed by a parent, guardian, custodian, adult student, or primary caregiver with the authority to enroll the student and verify DC residency.

Step 1: Complete Online Registration

Families will receive a link and a unique snapcode for each enrolling student by email to complete online registration. Registration for the 2026–2027 school year will be available soon. If you need internet access or assistance completing the MySchoolDC application, please visit the Family Center at our Elementary School campus.

Step 2: Gather Your Enrollment Documents

Identification Documents:

  • Birth certificate
  • Parent or guardian state-issued identification
  • Proof of guardianship, if applicable

Academic Documents

  • Recent report card or progress reports
  • Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or 504 plan, if applicable
  • ACCESS scores, if applicable

Health and Wellness Documents

Step 3: Submit Residency Verification

Families may submit residency verification online or in person with an Enrollment Team member.

To submit online, email a clear photo of your proof of residency to [email protected] along with your student's name and grade level. Please allow up to three business days for review. Once accepted, an Enrollment Team member will send you a link to the Residency Verification form, available in English, Spanish, Amharic, Vietnamese, Chinese, French, and Korean, for your digital signature.

Please note that expired documentation will not be accepted as proof of residency. Families experiencing homelessness or whose student is a ward of the District should contact an Enrollment Team member directly for guidance.
